Has anyone else done this? Does it work?
Well let me tell you, I just took this off
And put this in its place
So far 150 miles and zero Issues, with my Wideband I can see that AFR's go just as rich (10.9-11.5) when I lift / vent as it did with the stock CBV. And yes I drove with the wideband for 300+ miles with the stock CBV and was able to watch it and reconfirm that even with the stock CBV AFRs go into the 10's FROM THE FACTORY.
I have been saying this for years and year and years, LH 2.4 and a BOV work just fine. I ran one of these SSQV's on my LH 2.4 Automatic car and now I have one on my LH 2.4 Manual car and it works perfectly fine, no codes no black smoke or rich bog or anything.
If you have a BOV on LH 2.4 and it doesn't work then it is your fault ( BOV is the wrong type and is open to atmosphere at idle or cruise and needs to be shimed)
Pretty much as easy as that.
Yes I am being an ass and putting this thread out so when the next person searches for it they can re-realize that yes it works and the problem is them or their cars state of tune.
As soon as I get someone to ride with me I can have them get video of the wideband working and not freaking out.
