Ohh... Hi peeps!! It's me again!

So yeah, thought this thing will sell easily, but i was wrong lol... Loads of timewasters etc, so i keep using it as it's still my daily...

Las weekend i went to Retro Rides Gathering, here in the UK, to see some amazing oldskool cars and to have some fun! It was my first time on a hill climb track, as i have booked an afternoon session.

To say the least it was one of the most epic weekends i had in a long time. Loads of seat time and loads of nice people to chat too while queuing for the start line etc...

HAd another 3 runs after these ones, but never had any footage of those. It was really cool tho.

We had swapped an A cam in the freshly rebuilt 530 head, so it was behaving a bit different from before.

Was mega fun!! Had a few really cool runs, and the car was really strong. Did upset some marshalls while doing the compulsory one wheel burnout, while the guy infront hasn't left the start line lol... Was greeted with a really big disbelief and a head shake :insertfacepalm:

One thing tho, i DO NEED A PROPER DIFF!!! as one wheel drive sucks!!

Hey boys and girls!!

This is going to be the last update in this thread, well, from me obviously, as the car has been sold to a fellow volvo lover somewhere in Oxfordshire.

I will try to make him come round here, register and keep the thread going, but i can't promise anything.

It is quite weird really, as i had her for the last 3.5 years, did all the stuff etc, and id did make me smile plenty of times. Even yesterday when i took the new owner for a spin, did a good 3rd and 4th gear pulls on the motorway... The sound it makes, how it feels pulling etc... Just feels emotional etc... And all the time she actually behaved perfecly good putting up with my neglect drivinfg and abuse lol. Not once ever she let me down, and i am really greatfull that she was my daily driver for the time!!

Now to find myself something useful to replace her with lol... As i need to do around 450 miles a week for work and it cost me alot to fuel the 244 all the time haha... Time for some diseasel estate powers i guess!

Well, atleast i got the 242 to play around with in the really near future!

Question for you on the fuel pump, when you did the install did you need to make any changes to the wiring or did you just connect it up?

Hey!

The wiring is a bit upgeaded. We used the original wiring as the switch wire for the relay, and we used a direct fused wire from the battery to power the fuel pump. Now the original wiring and the fuse never gets hot as it used to be and it works very well.

So yeah, as i see that Bhuckthetobucket has fooked up all of the built threads i have now deleted my account from there and will try to somehow do the build threads from Google accounts.
