![]() I'm always looking for a fun garage project, and while looking at the front of my 79 242, the turn signals were bothering me. The orange panel was severely faded, and one had actually fallen off. Need to re up on my super glue I guess.
Before: ![]() I looked at my old model supplies and realized I have clear orange for turn signals. Tamiya X-86 clear orange will work. ![]() ![]() Huge difference! This lens was a bit better condition ![]() ![]() I think 2 coats will look even better. Tamiya makes red as well for tail lights if needed. Time will tell how UV stable the paint is, but if it isn't, just paint it again in a few years, takes 5 minutes.
