Is it a relay or a capacitor in the system that lets the interior light stay on in at 2:40 for 30 seconds after the doors are shut?

A cap, a resistor, and a diode or two would do the job. But I never took one of those apart.

It looks like there is more to the circuit than that. Sorry about that. I googled wiring diagrams for a dome light delay.

You can get delay off circuit boards on eBay for cheep and it only takes a few minutes to hook it up.
