Ran some shake downs at 7#, all was ok, wastegate needs some more preload, and VE table needs some help up top, but all is well.

Getting ready for this weekends events so I got my gauge cluster pretty well sorted.

So this is V3.1

Like the idea of the tablet. Think glare will be the only issue you will have to battle with, but I'm sure you're not done yet. I like the headlights too. I know I want something different, just don't know what yet.

Thanks,

So I did some 1/8th drags this weekend. Had a blast, car was slower than I hoped. Found out that my e-brake was stuck when I lined up for my first round of time trials and with that, no launch control, tons of wheel spin, a boost leak, and a really funny dead spot from about 2500-4k I ran an 11.2 1/8th. Only got faster as the day went on, and ended up (after freeing up my passenger side rear wheel) running a 10.6. They didnt have a slip printer so no time slips. But it was fun.

The Tablet did awesome. There was a touch of glare from the side when the sun was low and pointed at the drivers window. The plan is a cover over the top that will extend out about 3 inches from the tablet face across the top and about 1/2 way down the sides tapering back. The Headlights are really nice, except they need to be clean to get great light, and I need to upgrade the bulbs (ebay specials). I had wanted to do ones that had the ring all the way around, but I couldnt find the color I wanted.

I will have more pics and vids up shortly.

Ok, well so far I have only been able to get one video, just happened to be one of my better launches, although I couldnt get my brakes to hold me during the burnout, so I decided to light them again in reverse just because.

The guy I'm up against is my buddy Brandon with his 1991 Acura Integra with a GSR swap, cams, some chips, and some other goodies.

Interesting news. Car has a gigantic vacuum leak. So tearing into that this weekend. This will be the 5th round of chasing vac leaks, and they all have the same thing in common... Exhaust blowing into the intake port. So I'm going to try something else this time. So far Ive tried dry gasket, gasket with copper spray, gasket with RTV on the intake and grease on the exhaust, gasket with RTV on all ports. But my Turbine housing seems to seal just fine with a bit of axle grease. So I'm going to try no gasket, and grease on the exhaust with Grey RTV on the intake. We shall see how that goes.

In other news, I may be getting out of the healthcare industry. Too many times of finding myself bringing home the downer stuff from work, this person died, work comp system is dicking this person around, narcissistic boss that seems to have a mix of OCD and dementia to the point of procedure changes on a daily basis, etc. I was selected for an interview at a local electric motor/EV design and manufacturing company that is really into motor sports. The commute is going to be a big change, 5 minutes to 40 minutes, but it gets me into something that I may actually enjoy.

Sucks to hear about your vacuum leak, dude! that video is awesome man. Cant wait to see more.

Oh well, thats how it goes. This round went pretty well, so finally no vacuum leaks or exhaust leaks and hopefully it stays fixed. Car is happy, loving boost, currently fine tuning the spark map, and the fuel map in boost. Once I can get that dialed at 7psi, I'll move up a tad, with the cooler weather its a little less finicky than warm. But that could be that I dont have any boost/vac leaks now.

I went to 2 interviews, over 120 miles total and used about 5 gallons of fuel. So thats nice! Need to get my cruise AFR's back in check, after all my fiddling around while having leaks, I fubard a few spots on my map, like my 3k freeway cruise zone, that area was sitting at ~12.5.

I started making a new tank before the move and I guess I never posted it up here so heres a start to that.

Nice work, but what happened to the other tank, you did some serioux mods on that one, was it not satisfactory?
I'm still running the stock tank and from 1/2 full it gets problematic and from 1/3 undrivable, so i need a mod but i want to do it right first time :)

Easiest method is to utilize a surge tank or swirl tank in addition to the stock tank. That tank I made needs to be rewelded at all the seams, my little mig welder burns too hot and left me with too many pinholes, the cost to have it welded is going to be about the same as buying a fuel cell and bolting on a filler. I'm not sure if it's going to be worth it to me to try to finish it.
