940 eftersom rallybil

On our BMX Escort, I crimped a bit of exhaust tube around the bottom of a shock, stuck a bolt through it, and welded that assembly to the lower(only) control arm.
Jacked it up for full droop, and drilled the inner fender for an upper bolt. Reinfoced by welding in a couple big washers.
With a 3/4 ton KYB, it lifted the 'Scort almost 2" just by gas charge, and was way harder to bottom.
It lasted till the car was too beat to go on.

235/75 oh yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh

I always thought about using those side marker signals as turn signals if I ever build any kind of kit car, self contained flasher units!, and I hae always digged signals with arrows in them. Plus we've got hundreds of them here at work and if 2-4 go missing, no one would know.

Lol my markers ejected themselves out in the desert. I got these from a trailer that a customer was sending for scrap after it caught fire. They're just shoved in there and haven't fell out yet lol.

Oh yeah. Drove it across the scales and it weighs 3500lbs exactly. Me in it, 1/2 tank fuel, 2 spare tires, 1/2 gutted interior.

I love this car. I hammered the crap out of it Thursday- today and it just kept coming back for more. I did have ignition issues for a bit but I found the distributor full of oil. The front shocks are completely trashed. The driverside actually blew oil all over. I ripped the muffler off, lost the drivers headlight that a random person returned to me the next day at a trail head. It handles the bumps real good but I think I'll add some bump stops in the front somehow. Pics and video tomorrow I hope.

Edit: this is the only pic on my phone. Other people have more. Oh I'm sure there will be pics of it floating around the Internet soon. Everybody out at king of the hammers was taking pics.

What are you doing to route your harnesseseses to your light rack? I assume this is the same rack you run on the truck, swap between vehicles? Drill a hole in the roof? Run the harness through the window or door seal? Trying to find clever ideas for the light rack on the roof of my brodozer.

Well on the car I just run them through the sun roof. The truck has a small hole where they come through. I'm going to order a small weather tight 3 pin connector for both cars.
