Default Wheel offset fitment question

I'm looking to put 16x8 GTA wheels on my 242. I've found in searching you can run 25mm adapters all around with the fronts et0 and the rears et15. Curious if I could run 4 'front' wheels with the zero offset (and wider lips)and not hit anything up front with thick enough adapters?

GTA wheels look nice but I dont like how they poke out in the back

I want to say Towery did this on his white 244 before he turned it into a race car.
