For those of you that came to the BBQ at the shop, you saw what I have been working on. For those who were not there, I figured I would post a project thread as I will be adding more to this car as the summer continues. I built the bulk of this project in the 3-4 weeks prior to RSIPD weekend.
Engine:
Stroked B23 with offset ground crank to make it a 2.6l
milled down b230 pistons
4g63 rods
new bearings/rings
405 head shaved .120"
RSI Stage
NA cam
stock headgasket
tuned length/sized stepped RSI header
B21 intake with injector bungs
960 throttlebody
microsquirt running a 2.2 dizzy (keep it simple)
3" exhaust with a huge magnaflow before it gets dumped at the rear axle
RSI Poly Motor Mounts
Drive:
M47
RSI Poly M47 mount
lightened flywheel
kevlar clutch disc
welded diff
Brakes:
r-brakes with 13" rotors using RSI caliper adapters
soon to have 13" rear r-brakes with prototype RSI caliper adapters
Suspension:
RSI short coilovers
short KYB inserts (something new to try out)
RSI GT reinforcement plates
350x7" springs
Superpro Poly bushings
new end links
everything in the front suspension has been powdercoated gloss black
new ball joints
new tie rod ends
Wheels:
BMW Style 42 (BBS RS 740) 17x8" +20 ET
-Polished lips
-had centers stripped and then painted them Volvo Flint Grey Metallic
-hand polished titanium bolts
Federal SS595 215/45-17 (they run very wide)
25mm adapters
Inside (needs to be completed):
Kirky seat
AEM wideband
late model blue interior for the rest of the seats
navy flocked dash
decent small stereo setup
I built/am building this car to be a fun summer canyon carving car and to show off some products for the shop.
