I've got my '93 240 and I'm trying to finish up my +t build but need help with timing. It has a new ipd turbo cam and adjustable ipd cam gear. Previous owner broke off the timing belt cover and I stupidly did not mark anything when I took the head off to get it serviced. I think I heard top dead center on the cam is when lob 1 and 2 are at 10 o'clock and 2'oclock? What about the crank gear? Also I hear that maybe +2 degrees is a good place to start on this with stock boost?

Thanks.

Thinking cam timing mark points straight up from the cam cover gasket surface. Remember that engine tilts by 15 degrees, so gasket would also be at 15 degrees. Both number one cam lobes should be pointing up, and evenly offset.
