Yesterday, for the Americans who will be confused by the date in the title :-P

I'll let some of the other guys tell some stories about the day, but all up I think it was a great day. The roads were great, and I think I'll make the effort to drive on them again as soon as I can.

Thanks to Brendan for driving me around for most of the day, and thanks Marc for the ride too, your car really lives up to it's number plates. Oh and Pat, your car is nice!

Chris, what happened to you? I thought you were going to meet us in Bowral? But then we saw you heading back towards Sydney...

It was great meeting you all, and hopefully it won't be 11 months till the next meet!

omg, I love the red 242.. and such a long trip to get there :p'

btw, you have an imposter!!!11

AJ you took fantastic pictures through Macquarie Pass. Street signs, zoomed in. You can count the paint scratchs on my bumper. Seriously, nice work.

I love my car, it took me ages to find one in good condition but.....

I just realized how big the ass on a 940 wagon is next to a sleek tastefully lowered 240. Comparitively my car is a boat or some kind of pregnant beattle. You can see it literally for Miles.

Quick, somebody sell me a set of Volans so I can de-soccermom my car.

Thicker sways, Lesjefors and Konis would also not go asstray.

Thanks Phil, I did my best! I would have like a few more photo opportunities, but nevermind.

I really like the look of your car. Are you going to send me those photos? Can you post your pictures in this thread? You took some great pics!

what a beautiful countryside you have there, and nice cars too... looks like a fun time i need to visit sydney sometime, i am way behind on my traveling

Sorry AJ will have to wait for my wife to finish her studies. That PC has our iinet account installed.

Isn't it great how cart tracks eventually turn into a car enthusiasts wet dream.

These are also in the 'Bruces Spring Into Action' thread. less the 360 km of commentary

Met Mark (YLD244), Matt(Forg) in BRC at Rhodes Park

We all know who this is

We then drove to Loftus Oval to meet with AJ (Dauntless), Brendan (Volvo244GLE) and Chris (V-speed)
Can I keep up?

The cruise through the National Park
natpark2-1.jpg

narrow roads, tight corners and quick gear changes. The SE felt like a boat on its extra heavy duty rear springs. The Yokohama s306 were chirping at me big time. Thankfully a Civic interrupted us mid stride and then hung around for far too long.

Traffic lights would have been good here.

I could look at my rearview all day

Caught up with Pat (Disco Inferno) in his stunning 740 HP Turbo and Frank (Violet Grumble) 264 powered by 1JZ-GTE at Albion Park Maccas

Nice fit, great build

Nice fit. Just enough room for a toolkit

AJ took those fantastic photos through Macquarie pass. I had my hands full keeping the boat on the road.

wow guys!! nice pics, and sharp looking cars...it's always "volvoer" on the other side of the pond haha

p.s-I love that red Holden with a trailer hitch :-D

Looks like a good time was had by all. The bodyroll on 'MAD740' is my favourite part!

Nice turn-out though. I still think we have a border meet at some point and have some NSW and VIC interaction.

Aww shucks, Phil called the Discomobile stunning. I'm glad it stayed clean long enough for some good photos, doesn't happen very often.

Anybody up for a dispute about the existence of an automatic 740 HP? ;-)*

I had my hands full keeping the boat on the road.

You weren't the only one.

Edit: *Personal joke. Usually Volvo people immediately tear into me for daring to call it an HP, when it lacks manual trans and Geminis. I do have the cars original receipt, and it just has some interesting built-to-order stuff going on.

No Dispute, just a question. Are you planning to manualize it soon?
