I recently replaced the clutch in a 1980 245, the car shifts well now, but 3rd gear will slip out if the rpms are not up. Anyone know what might be the cause?

Slip out? Pop out on deceleration?
Shifter bushings sloppy? Trans mount junk?

Is the shift boot on backwards or not installed correctly? There could be enough pressure from the boot to push the shift lever out of gear.
Try removing the boot and see if the problem goes away.
