Exhaust Pipes on Lowered 240

Hi Guys,

Our recently lowered 245 is now experiencing the exhaust to drag on occasion. How does everyone route their exhaust around the rear axle? That seems to be what is occasionally dragging on our car?

Thanks,

That looks nice. What diameter pipe is that? How much lower than the rear axle does it need to be so that it wouldn't bump?

I'm not done yet but trying my hand at round to oval transitions. (yes they sell them-no that wouldn't be as fun)
Mine will go under the axle.
The really nice one is from flyfaen's build.
Ads complexity but might help add some clearance.

I usually fit an "Exhaust-Dump" just before the rear axle...

Muffler goes were resonator usually is, and a simple down turn tip, just at the back...

No wasting time making good bends above or below axle

I've done this on 2.25" and 2.5" cars

3", and I went to a side exit...in front of rear wheel

Man, that skid rail that keeps the flange from catching on things is fantastic. Seriously.

Was my favorite thing the guy added to the setup. I was impressed.
Here is another shot of it.

So simple, but effective. Worked extremely well.
