Mr.Borrie?s 780 1986 Diesel

Just checked the apk booklet. Apparently mandatory since 97!
Not going to bother for now! Just need to resolve the smoke and she”s ready for the road as far as i can see
 
What an freak this car is (was). Italian made Bertone body combined with the german d24 monstrosity :lol:
Redblock engine seems alot more fitting!

Kay getting closer now, put a burner to the cat to burn the oil out, no more smoke at startup or idle.
However after some driving the smoke returns, the upper hose get really hot and swells up (yeah yeah thats what she said)
the lower hose doesn't gain that much heat at all.

First i was thinking radiator cap, but after closer inspection i noticed no swirl effect in the coolant box when revving , so waterpump..?
 
Okay no smoke anymore... with the wastegate undone (no boost)
Guess okay for getting past inspection but still not where i want to be
 
Ah yes the 780.. its still at the garage, we have been bouncing back and forth on government check things and i sort of lost intrest when the 760 turbo hit my shop after all those years.. I will check up on it next month, must be looking pretty dirty by now...

Drove the car a little to get the brakes back to life and gave the car a wash.
altenator gave out and the tail had to much damage apparently for MOT.
Alternator is already replaced now to figure out how to fix this NLA part..

Since the car was nice enough to get trough inspection i gave her some paint.
Still need to paint the window chrome black with the mirrors and black the rear windows out

Was not really planning on it but the 780 is sold.
Got a too good to reject offer on this unique car.
Also never had so little amount of cars in a long time
