Got the turbo back. Neat ass from Turbo Performance Ltd near me. They did a top job sorting out my actuator bracket and a new 1 bar -34 actuator.

Somebody said "the closest to a near fit" but that guy just said about a minute ago "fawk me mate it wuz like 10 years ago, guv, and I's getting older by the day"

I'm sure he said it, I heard it!:wtf:

This still trips me up

Glad to hear it's a runner now.

Failed the MOT on a few bits, none of them related to the swap funnily - but it drives OK. I have a vacumn leak somewhere I think as when driving I'm not going above much on the psi range on the gauge, probably only touched 2-4psi but that's with light driving. Alignment is out hugely, wheel bearing shot, and there's a few other bits to change at the garage. Hopefully this time next week it'll be sorted.

Reckon I have a vacumn leak if it's not boosting so much? I'm only going upto 2/2.5k rpm but I am hearing turbo whistles which is nice.

Car runs good, now for wasted spark, BPR7ES plugs, an oil change and a 2.5" free-flowing exhaust (I will unfortunately need a cat because of UK regs post-93 but I'll find a 200 cell one) for ?580. Using Ford EDIS coils for WS.

Always a joy (and an exception here) to see somebody doing it right.

For TB posterity, do a final reckoning on your Cossie build. Thank you in advance. 👍

Will do. I need to upload a few photos too, but here's several I took a month or two before the engine was swapped. Spools up at about 2100rpm, then after 3000 the boost comes on very nice, hold onto your steering wheel level of nice. I'm still to upgrade to an M90 so we'll see how it is then with the diesel clutch. It's got a Saab Aero Turbo CBV with the improved diaphragm which helps greatly.

Friend of mine just had 246hp, 247ftlb tq with a 16T, 350cc injectors and a 2.5" exhaust on his 940. Looking forward to a dyno session soon, see what this setup will put out once the new exhaust and intercooler piping is all installed.

Got my exhaust done 2 months ago, oops. 2.75" DP to a full 3" system, 200 cell high-flow cat (MOT emissions here in the UK) then a silencer, that's it. Slight boost leak around the CBV (now running a Forge 008 recirc valve), but getting the piping re-done and maybe a new intercooler soon.

Getting a boost leak at about 11psi, probably where the CBV is as the piping is all hose-clipped on (different size outlets on the piping so a pain, really).

Wonder how much HP I'm making. Got an M90 soon to go on with diesel clutch.

I'll get some good snaps of the engine bay when I get out on a nice day for it. It's a mess IMO, I'm all for clean-tuck wiring, my improvised fuse board isn't looking good and the previous owners' mess of alarm wiring is like a dogs dinner.
