Default power lock

quick question are the power lock systems the same on the 240s and 740s my passenger one just gave up and need to go to the junkyard.

Probably, but there may be small details that causes problems.

Are you a lucky member of the former or hanging on as a member of the latter?

You have a part number of the dead unit?

Take the old one with you to the yard and find one that matches, even if its in a windstar...
Take a 12 volt drill battery with you to power up stuff to test it.

Bet someone would ship you one for under $20 on here. Save yourself a trip to the yard and time wasted..If you have a part number, I might have it as I have a few laying around.
