Hey guys,
So I joined up in search of some guidance. I just acquired a 1989 volvo 240 that was my first car, and belonged to my dad. He recently passed away, and we had planned on building this car up and turbocharging it, so I want to build it in his honor.
The car is a 1989 Volvo 245 with an M47 manual transmission and a B230. I am not very familiar with modifying gas engines, as I have been involved with the diesel performance world for quite some time. I am curious as to what an N/A B230 will hold up to power-wise and boost-wise.
I would love to make 300 RWHP to start. I am wondering if I would need a standalone ECM or if I could make it work on the stock ECM. I'm also looking for guidance on turbo choice, fuel system choice, etc.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
