LH2.4 940 wiring harness

Hello guys..
To remove the ecu harnesses do i have to take out the whole dashboard..? I know all 940 is 2 piece wiring harness.. one for the engine bay.. and one in the cabin..
 
This is a yes and no type of question. You can remove the ECU section and the EZK section of the harnesses without removing the dash. That said, the dash harness is what allows those to sections to communicate.

I think its wired this way.. sure a lot of wires to be removed..
 
Yes. What is missing there are the power sources to the various components which come from the dash section of the harness. Also, the speed signal that the ECU needs in order to operate properly and the fuel pump circuit, which the ECU controls. There isn't much in the dash harness that is needed to make the system work. Sorting out what is needed from that section is going to be time consuming.
