Default Tranny mount replaced on my 245dl, driveline now rubs

I had an exhaust put on my 1984 245dl b23 today and when I did the mechanic told me my tranny mount was toast. On the way home from the exhaust shop the rubbing noise started and i assumed the exhaust was hitting the driveline. Jacked the car up when I got home to replace the mount, noticed there was some rubbing marks on the driveline and driveline well where it mates with the tranny and none on the exhaust. Replaced the mount, took it on a test drive and it still rubbed. Would bad motor mounts add to this problem? and the main question is how do I adjust the tranny so that it doesn't do this? Any input is appreciated
Thanks,
Chad
