I just picked up some 16" Volvo rims for my 242. Just need to know what tire size I can run with out rubbing?

6.5 wide and 43 offset. Will be using 25mm spacers. I was thinking of getting 205/50-16

That size should work fine. Depending on how low the rear is, you might get the occasional rub on inclines.

205/55/16. 205/50/16 if your car is lowered a good amount, otherwise fendergap will look silly.

here are my old 16" Borbets with 215/55/16 I think or maybe they were 205/50/15. Either way, I had no rubbing.

On 8.5" wide wheel
I think it's a good sized tire. Maybe a bit tall, but a nice lowering does wonders for tall sidewalls.

I think the borbets were 7.5" A 205 or 215 fits nicely on that.

base your tire size on the stock size (plus sized or not) so your odometer/speedo is still based on reality...

Did not think an 8.5 wide rim would fit on a 240.
