940 immobilizer

Do the 940 2.0 red box have immobilizers

984 ECU does. 1997 or 1998 year wise I think. Put say 967 chip in 984 ecu to get around it or swap in earlier ecu like 967 or 954 for turbo lh2.4.

Are all the 940 separate fuel and ignition ECUs. is the ignition one with the immobilizer

No the fuel ECU has the immobilizer in it, should be ECU number 984. Swap that out to earlier non immobilizer ECU to get around the immobilizer so it will run.

Do you not have the correct key for the car? What is your problem? You can't use a 984 ECU in any car unless you have the key for it. You can put any 9xx, not 984 chip, in you 984 ECU and then it will work. I put a 967 chip in my 984 ecu to make it work around the immobilizer problem.

Is your car LH 2.4 fuel injection? Bosch? What country you in? What are you trying to do??

My ECU is a 2.0 940 0 280 000 932 ae. Fuel injection how do I know the difference

932 ECU does not have the immobilizer. Last three numbers are the important numbers.

If I chip this ECU will it run the 2.3 engine
