Wave 5 benjies under his nose and leave with the whole kit-n-caboodle.

You could even part it out.

Well no actually you couldn't make any money that way, but on the bright side scrap's coming up again.

Partially agreed. A 200k+ mile 940 with missing parts shouldn't be worth more than scrap value.

Gonna be more than that for the swap even figuring your time @ 17¢ / hr.
I mean, I paid $300 for my 740 turbo... I like to spend under $1k for parts cars.

That is true, though.

Default Talk Is Cheap

And what does door #2 look like Alex?

You could always spend $4K in time and effort dropping an alien engine in there to say you did it?

My peoples,

I can get a full longblock (with ecu harness accessories) AND an aw71 transmission for 285 out of the door

Sorry about the delay, I have been very busy.

I was able to get a sweet motor. A B230FT from a 1995 940 turbo. I got the engine and transmission for 180 bucks :D

Here are the pics of my progress:

AW71 looks like area around crank position sensor was cut out with an old tooth? weird...

Old motor coming out

Wait what is that in the block?

Oh hello Rod

I am pressure washing the engine bay right now. After that is done and I swap the CPS flexplate ring and join trans back on the new motor will be dropped in!!!!!!!!

At the very least, I would do the rear main seal so you avoid future headaches before swapping back into car.

And the torque converter seal for the same reason.

Depending on the mileage of trans, it probably be a good idea to do tail shaft seal/bushing as well.

That looks like you have a replacement AW71 from a pre LH2.4 car that did not have the molded-in cutout notch for the CPS, and someone hacked out the CPS hole by hand. If you're lucky, it might have come from a Turbo car with factory transmission tweaks for the extra power.

Hey everyone!

I am asking great progress with the swap! Pics soon! I need help though, I am replacing the stock O2 sensor with a wideband that has an out for narrowband useage. I need the wiring diagram for the Volvo Rex Regina O2 sensor so I can hook up the narrowband output correctly. Thanks!!!

I thought it was advisable not to use the WBs NB output for lh or regina? I used the stock NB as is and just installed my WB completely separately to have no effect at all on injection. Can anyone else chime in?
