Alright guys, it's time to finally start a thread for this project. This is really the combination of two project ideas that never came to be. A 5.0 swapped 302 242 and a vintage draw thru turbo b20. Mix them together and you get the "Turbo 5.0"... this project will be done in true turbo bricks fashion, every effort will be made to pinch pennies and make this thing as Roadkill as possible. Turbo should push about 7-8psi and the charge air will be cooled via water meth injection. Final goals include 400+ hp and making STI owners cry.

1) 1982 Volvo 242
2) Ford 302/ 5.0
3) Ford t5
4) Ford 8.8 rear
5) Vintage Accel draw-thru turbo kit
Supporting components:
1) Snow performance water meth kit
2) Mallory HEI distributor
3) MSD 6A box
4) MSD BTM box
5) Water meth injection plate
6) Holley 4-bbl 850cfm carb
7) Street radials
Car background: This 242 is what started the Volvo obsession. It is currently without motor/transmission or interior. So it's a blank slate ready for some creativity. Most of the parts listed above have already been sourced and I hope to receive my new custom motor mounts in a week or so.

The project is a joint adventure for my brother and I and we will need plenty of support from the community along the way. Main questions currently are:
1) How do we size the carb for this odd ball turbo application?
2) Any tricks to hooking up the msd boxes?
3) Any info about setting up the water meth kit?
4) Stock 5.0 timing is 12 btdc, what should we set the btm to?
5) What springs/shocks should we run with the new heavier engine?
