Fabulous car!
Can we get some details about the dome light/key fob and fogs-on-with-parking-lights mods?
Did you sell the grey/wood steering wheel? Want to?
Need any other bits for the S/V90 interior? There is (or was) a PERFECT donor at one of the local junkyards. I would have grabbed everything in that car but mine is grey and not worthy of a full interior swap. I've seriously never seen a better interior on one of these... right down to the factory floormats.
I love what you've done with your car. One of the first Volvo wagons I've seen on air, and now making me desire the same on mine. I like how you change up the wheels occasionally.
Thanks guys! The dome light automatically comes on with the key fob via the central locking relay on the S/V90. Though, I'm sure you could adapt an S/V90 central locking relay to work on just about anything. I'll post a short writeup on the jumper for the foglights when I get home.
If you feel compelled to pull them, I would love a nice set of upper front seat leathers and upper & lower rear leathers (for wagon). They would have to be S/V90 though (960 seats have a different pattern). Otherwise I think I'm doing okay.
The gray leather wheel was from an S70 but I think I can find it if you are interested. Let me know.
And yeah, I like to switch the wheels up from time to time. It keeps things interesting.
Haha, yup I'm going Poi on them. I broke the belt on the drill press and had to stop for a while. Thinking the 80 grit I was using is probably too coarse. I'll switch to 160 or so for the next session. It works but it's a slow process, just like everyone says.
Drill press belt finally acquired. You get really stupid looks from people when you go to a parts store and ask for a part based on its properties instead of the "vehicle" to which it belongs.
Glass flute sanding to recommence tomorrow. Now to find my calipers...
And raw materials are way more expensive than things from China.
