It's a Vintage Air heat, cool, defrost. Pretty typical hot rod option as they are small and fit easily. Vintage Air went to full electric control several years ago, heat valve, defrost/heat doors are all servo motor operated.
 
Not sure how I missed this thread before, but I talked to you a couple years ago at IPD. I thought this was one of the coolest cars there, great project.

Term that used to be used for European two door station wagons. Different than hatchbacks.
