After 18 months of virtually no action at the body shop, suddenly I'm a priority and they are working on it. That's great I guess (just have to figure out how I'm paying for it suddenly). I think we're only a couple weeks from color according to them.

They are putting it on the rotisserie to cut and replace the one questionable floorpan. It wasn't bad, but I'm in this far (and 6 years) might as well do it.

I'm also having a bit of an internal debate. The plan has been Verde Chiaro for years ... but I really like Subaru's Cool Grey Khaki

or

Hmmm.

That's awesome it's finally getting done! Gives you time to have it done by Davis...2020...lol.

I kinda like that Subie color a little better myself.

Fresh paint, seriously exciting!

I'd drop a coin in the Fiat cup given the two choices. I'm not big on that Subaru color. One it kinda just looks like soft Scotia Blue, which is a pretty well represented color. Also it's a little too "west palm beach powder blue lincoln town car" for me, they just hipped it up a bit by mixing in a little "it's 2019 and everyone needs a grey".

It's hard for me, often, to picture 240's in these modern two stage paints. Something to keep in mind is the wagon is sorta a slab side vehicle, especially compared to the cars you're seeing it on. So the shadows and shades on the modern cars will just be one big sheet of color on the side of the wagon. Just something to keep in mind when watching colors move in the light.

That's kind of what the appeal was for me. It's hard after 6 years of this project to not get the some creep on the original plans... I like both a lot honestly.

Could be also cause I have a green truck now (though, that would look pretty awesome ALSO in Verde Chiaro as a matching tow rig some day )

I'm not a big fan of the primer blue, but please don't paint it that green color.

I prefer the subie blue. In fact considered it my self. I find myself wanting a lifted 240 spec’d Overland style painted in the muted industrial colors like Jeep, Ford, Subie and a few others are running now (desert Khaki, Ford Terrain, Ford Avalanche grey, audi nardo grey).

And then a fast tricked out street car painted in Lexus Atomic Silver or Jeep Red Velvet or some metallic 2 stage. I have 2 wagons already. It’s a sickness.

I have a light blue 245 and a light green 245. The women all love the green one. Take that however you will!

You know how much I LOVE your green wagon.

Have any good recent pictures to help me stay strong to Verde?

Happy to oblige! I don't have anything super recent, but here are a few from February. First one is washed out and 2nd is corrected to look closer to the actual color.

It's looking like my blue wagon is going to be passed along to a friend who has been jonesing for a 245 V8 swap project, but I'll be keeping the Ford 4.6 and shoving it into the green one.

The Fiat color is a good bit more sagey, if that makes sense. The 1975 "Berkshire Green" (aka pea green) color has more yellow in it, the Fiat color looks to be more bluish.

That's a fair assessment. It's a bit of a color shifter too, inside it's pretty sage green. Outside in direct sun it's a bit more minty.

That's Verde

Decision made. Ended up going blue... but with a twist. I just did a guitar in Cool Grey Khaki and I love it but I wish it was slightly more blue. So I hand mixed it with a bit more blue in it and ended up in a grey slate blue that I'm thrilled with. It's actually REALLY close (if not splitting the difference) to this Amazon

I'm committed now, they are matching the color card (they have the actual card, the picture is just sprayed on a box lid for this picture)

Yeah. In all fairness the clear we use for guitars has a bit of tint to it so once clear went on it was much better... but the extra blue made it perfect.
