I cannot get the &%%## orifice tube out!

As the title sez. it is a 86 740. It is stuck in there i can pull it most of the way out, but then it gets stuck. I looked inside the pipe and i can see a square piece of metal inside blocking the way. I looked at my junk 88 740 and it does not have this.....what is going on?? Is it all the evil things and drugs i did, as a kid, coming back to haunt me?

Heat the pipe up with propane. Back and fort until it melts the tube enough to pull it out.

OP you are doing it wrong.

Fix it with fire as described above.

The orifice tube does the job of an expansion valve. Liquid high side pressure passes the small orifice into the low side where it evaporates into a gas making for cold temps.

Another of those solutions in search of a problem. The orifice tube thing has been more troublesome then expansion valves that I've seen.
