Default VX3 cam. Advance is 3 degs at crank, right?

Silly question time:

The red block VX3 camshaft is a VX advanced 3 degrees measured at the crank, right?

Sooo.... 1.5 degrees advence at the cam should get me there? (Long day wrenching, no math skills left)

Thanks!

No the cam itself is setup 3 degrees advanced so it would equal six degrees on the crank. I would run the cam with the 1.5 degrees more you want to add. So a total cam advance of 4.5 degrees.

Thanks for the help and suggestion on where to set it up!

Ordered some adjustable gears from STS last night. Cam for this 245 coming from IPD. I'll start with 4.5 degrees advanced.
