rock and roll... can't wait to see this car run 10's

I like the optimism but mid 11's will be just fine for me..

How bad is the casting on that waterpump? hard to weld?

It seemed to be a dirty casting.. I am not sure if maybe it was just because I used my old water pump but it did not weld very nicely.. I don't think it will leak but its was not very perty...

Are you using the internal wastegate from the EVO turbo or an external setup?

gonna stick with the internal setup.. It works fine on the evo's with 400whp It should be fine for my modest 8v brick..

some more progress.. its finally coming along slowly but better than nothing..
ordered all new front end suspension crap like tie rod ends and ball joint stuff also all the bushings and stuff..

Got the engine, trans back in the car... slowly making progress.. here are some pics..
might actually be able to crank the car in the next week or so..

gonna need some lowering springs and shocks for it soon as well..


welded the upper and lower exhaust manifolds together.. I was conserned that the flange I used for the turbo up-pipe was too thin and would blow out gaskets so I just welded it and hopefully it wont crack..
