Default 142 Wheels. 17x8 fit with 2-3 inch drop?

I can't seem to find much info on 140's and wheel fitment.
I see plenty of picks but not much info. I am curious to what works well
with the car dropped and wide wheels. Thanks

Stretch some 165s and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not a huge fan of really stretched tires. I'm liking those Corsa Steelies but thinking they may not workout on the front end.

You'll probably run out of room on the rear first anyway.

What offset are the Corsas?

Do you mean the 16 X 9's for 240s?

They come 8 or 9 inch and the center can be anywhere from 4 to 5 inch backspacing.

I'd see if they could make some 8s with 6" backspacing for a 140 and run 205-55-16s.

Since apparently they have to make them up anyway...

I'm not sure if they are buying 8 and 9 inch barrels or if they are banding them. Some of them on the website look banded. I'm thinking 7's on front and 8's on back would be cool.

They're saying 2 piece, so it sounds like they're building wheels not fooling around with out of balance banded thing-a-ma-jiggies.

Or just you know on a TB budget™ slap some 7x16" WWD steelies on there, and give them a squirt of duplicolor silver wheel paint.

What is WWD? Yeah, i don't to excited over banded wheels. I'll call them tomorrow and see what they can make happen. Thanks, for the info.

You must be new here....

Wrong Wheel Drive, AKA newer Volvo.

I mean they're thick in the junkyards now, and steel wheels are peanuts in the yards....

That's gonna be tough on a 140 unless you stick a 240 axle in there...

That what i was thinking. The car they have in the pic has coil overs and he said they modified rear trailing arms too. I don't want to get that carried away or go as low as that 240.

Well just imagine a 4.5 or 5" x 40ET 15" wheel with a 165R15 tire in there, and ~ 1 & 3/8" space around it for winter tire chain clearance.

Kinda sounds like WWD offset to me ...

But who knows you might get lucky, and not have to run teeny tiny short little tires like they do.

Let me know how that goes. I'm looking at the same wheels for my 142 and trying to figure it out.

Ya well you could always run some 15x6x25 et 700 wheels and 195-65-15's if you want to actually drive the car.

But that's just like my opinion man, perhaps you can break some new ground here.

Your tire size is going to have a lot to do with it as well. Do you want to roll the fenders?

Doesn't that always happen right after cutting the springs?

I like the look of deep lips. But on a 140, you take some compromise. I like the look of some 225/50s on a 15(16)x7.5or 205/55s on the same. Offset is going to depend on chain or strut clearance.

I vote to roll em and push those tires out. But that’s just my opinion, man.

Polaris fits with a 215/45, just have to cut or roll the "shelf" on the rear fenders. There is space on the inner side for a wider wheel.

Don't mind the front fender fitment, it's fiberglass.

Don't know what it is originally for. Found it on a friends trash pile and narrowed some. It's metal, that I can say.
