Edit: wow that looks really off in a late 240 interior. But builds like these were quite popular back in the day. Buy a cheap old car and swap a few bits to make it look like a brand new car.

is this car not a '75? Lights and hood are wrong, but there's also no weld nuts in the firewall for the braces... so that puts it before the end of '78...

Well, weld nuts for a firewall to strut tower brace are kind of redundant when you don't actually have any struts. :-P

Couldn't help but think of the scene in Gremlins where the the mother get the gremlin in the microwave and it blows up! Thats my head right now! Looks like too much work, the 145 was a better looking car then this anyway.

That was s? swedish @ 80's up-date 140-series Volvo with 240 sheet metal.

If you think that's hideous, check those aftermarket plastic front pieces to 140. Trying to find piccie.

Not *quite* the same thing, but this sort of reminds me of the very early prototype VW Beetle someone found in a barn. The finder had a good eye, because over the decades someone had spent a fair amount of work 'modernizing' the look with later model windows chopped into the body.
