Default my first Volvo - 1989 760 wagon turbo intercooler

I've never owned a Volvo before but spotted this on Craigslist and loved it.

It does have some minor problems that need to be taken care of eventually, but overall it is in pretty good condition.

New paint job, new cylinder head, new brakes and rotors, new radiator, new alternator, new steering column, new tires.

The previous owner had a lot of work done and took good care of it. He also raided a similar Volvo in a junkyard and got a lot of extra pieces that I may never need. Extra intercooler, radiator, front door glass!, interior trim and other stuff I have not inventoried yet.

Now... on to the pictures!

Wow. That's a beaut! Quite rare to find this model in such nice shape and having gotten that kind of care -- so many of them were family barges when new, then eventually driven into the ground. Sounds like whoever had it before you was committed to keeping it up.

Congrats, and welcome to the wonderful world of 7 series Volvos! You'll hear some folks around here say they think the greatest Volvo is a 240, but those of us who are able to think independently know better.

I like it a lot. I was surprised at all the options it had! Same stuff as my loaded 2013 Ford F150!

Nice car! I'm a huge 760 fan. Lots of parts swap over from 960's!

How many miles?

... except it's beige.

Just kidding. I loved my 760 tarbo...

I especially love the very sensible fuse box location... in my 945 it's like... wtf...

Hope you will go mad!

My dad has your car's twin, colour and everything. Except that it's dirtier. Much dirtier.

Looks great!

mtd240: I suspect "the wives" have a super-secret forum to discuss whether or not they will let us buy Volvo parts.
DavidSamuels: Not a website, a panel discussion/reality show. Real Housewives of Gothenburg.
