I'm thinking that the later style TD04h-13c that I installed with 90+ manifold on my 88 765 B230FT was from a B230FK LPT. Is it true that I only need a wastegate actuator from an earlier style TD04h-13c to increase boost from 4-4.5 psi to 6.8-7.7 psi?
 
So far as anyone can tell, the actuator is the only difference. Much easier to just fit a MBC and adjust it to whatever you want though.

Not true, you need a wastegate actuator from a Volvo diesel = plus 0.3 bar.

What grogthomas mentioned is better, buy an MBC, value for money.
Not more then 0.65 bar if you do not chip it, otherwise a fuel cut will happen.
