1990 740GL Kids race car!

Well the wife's 15.9 year old kid really wants a rockin 740 with the rear spoiler alert! I guess his dad lives over by one of those volvo places in P-town and he seen em parked out front. I didn't wanna give him a turbo one so I thought, this 90 GL I was a gonna give my brother but he still ain't walking yet so perfect. Painted my old race cars 80 trans am spoiler alert white and put on those wheels from the 95 940 and presto! Volvo Race CAr!

Yeah thinking I might even put a "custom" EZK chip in it make it more of a PIG like say 4k rev limit and even more retard on the timing!

EZk…is it CA-spec with LH2.4 & EGR originally or 49-state regina car?

T-cam is a little better than the M for power & MpG as well if it doesn’t have to pass CA NOX along with the slightly lean burning EGR fuel ECU with the EGR Ezk deleted for MPG…need every MPG in the days of $6 gas…

Maybe a G80 swap for some additional snow & slick snot camping or boat ramp traction? Not to hot Rod around just practical?

Are there Volvo places up in vantucky or WA plate because that’s where wife/kid live?

I don't think it has EGR, I haven't done nuttin to the motor except fix the crank ventilation system. Spent most of my time cleaning it and replacing the whole interior. Still needs iPD poly strut rod bushings, front camber mod, rear shocks. I did weld up a turbo resonator in there as the other pipe over der rear was blown and all I had was the bigger turbo pipes. Yeah wife kid live in camas... Car is from cali but has junkyard motard in it with paint pen that says w egr..ha

Pic Klug took.. Gotta evict him from my bus so I can work on it..

Sick of him standing there barefoot drinking beers and watching me work...

that's awesome my dad gave my sister and I our first car we had to share we each got it every other week. for our last year in high school, it was a 72 164e with overdrive. tons of memory of that car which I bought after I graduated.
but that Chevelle is a thing of beauty.

MVP coilovers and 3" exhaust. Flowed 405 with a V15. Cossie turbine housing with upgraded compressor housing. 90+, IPD remote oil filter. Some other goodness, too. Been lots of fun over 25 years. Restored in 2k. Now ready for a 2nd restoration. 1993 245 Classic, 440k miles, enem V15. IPD bars and chassis braces. Simons sport exhaust from Scandix. sbabbs ezk chip. Been a good road warrior. Genuine Volvo rebuilt leaky M47.
