AQ130 (B20) rebuild for a 122

Current shopping reveals (used parts where applicable because turbobricks haha):

-msd boost master timing controller $175
-water meth injection $180-$250
-Holley 390 carb $160
-Holley to Weber adapter $15
-Accel turbo kit $200 purchased
-Weber DD b20 intake $50
-misc exhaust pipe $50
-Air filter $40
-b20 rebuild with cam $1,100

Estimated total: $2k

So this brings into question another option. I have a 302, t5, 82' 242 roller and the turbo kit.
Estimated cost: $750.
This project may be taking a sharp turn in direction. .... Budget constraints haha

Is that $1,100 for the rebuilt B20 including the machine shop cost ?

I'd think an engine swap is really going to get expensive, expecially with the 302. At the very least if you go that route you'll also need a stronger rear end.

Yea, that's a light freshen up at the machine shop.

As for the swap, i already have most of what i would need for the 242, including mounts etc. As for a rear, i'd just cut an 8.8 down I believe.

So many choices!!!

That's a pressure wash at the machine shop I use. Lol

The 8.8 out of an Exploder? Don't you just take two of them and stick the short side of one on the other?
Got an Exploder in the garage now but it's got the IRS.
It's not mine ! Doing a brake/bearing job for a buddy's girlfriend. He gives me a few beers and he gets. . . Well you know.
