Hello,

My name is Ben I live in Maine, I recently got my first ovlov.
Its a silver 90 740 wagon.
It was previously owned by a member here but i dont know who.
Im am not new to the car scene at all just my first volvo.

Car list.
16 nissan 240sx's
86 gts coupe corolla
Mk3 turbo supra
91 toyota cressida with nissan sr20det swapped by me.
99 infiniti Q45
98 jeep cherokee
96 escort wagon
79 datsun 210 coupe
80 te72 corolla coupe
94 civic ex coupe
91 chevy lumina

I currently know a lot of nothing about volvos but im here to learn.

This day two of ownership.
 
That's quite the list. Welcome.

The most important thing to learn is that your 740 is not magic. It's a car like the rest of the ones on your list.
Now go do something amazing. ;-)

Ill get pictures up soon. I was told its a red block turbo not sure what that means as of yet.
As of right now im enjoying the car. Its been about 6 months i think since having boost.
I know its a straight 6 with a very small turbo IMO.
Intercooler piping
3 inch from turbo flange back
Front mount (mid)
Looks lowered
Aftermarket plug wires

Maybe other stuff IDK

Yeah, 'redblock' is the slang term we all use for the family of engine in your car. Because the block is red and made of iron. You may also hear about 'whiteblocks' which are the newer DOHC aluminum engines found in Volvos starting in 92.

That's not a bad starting place. There's a lot you can do from there. Boost controller and a small turbo upgrade would be where I'd start.
 
I think an IP block on Maine is about due. We're getting entirely too many new members from there. :nod:
