I need to pickup some drag slicks for my LSx Volvo 245.

I'll likely be using Draco wheels (or similar)

can anyone confirm the biggest size I can use without rubbing?

I'm looking at 26/8.0/15 right now, but that seems a little anaemic for my application...

MIckey thompson 24.5 8 15 et slicks. For me the 26’s were too big.

They fit ok under my 242. Had to remove the triangles.

Also the Draco is at the limit for width. If you found a 15x7 it would be better.

I have been pondering these:

M&H 8.5-24.5-15

But not sure how a tire meant for a Rim Size: 8.0" would work on a 6.0" stock Volvo "Nova" alloy wheel. From research here, some people claim to run on 6"s w/o issues. IDK if the sidewall would get squirrelly at speed or not...

been looking at the exact same tires.

I think a nice little setup would be those tires ($206 for two...) and a set of diamond racing steelies (about $160 for 2) 15x8 ET12...a little costly on startup but, you gotta pay to play.

Update, I purchased some 15x7s from vertigosity... So 7"s better fit some big a$$ (appropriately sized) drag meats!
