Now just waiting for the rear axle to come back from the specialist so I can finally enjoy the 3.31:1 ratio + lsd.

Got the rear axle back from a specialist for the installation of the 1031 3.31 gear set and lsd. He put new plates on the lsd and new bearings in the diff which I got from bakaxel in Sweden.

Back home I got rid of the old rubber bushings and installed Kaplhenke's spherical bearings. I'm much more curious about driving with these than the gear set or lsd.

I used an aluminium cover from a 940. Not because of unsprung weight reduction, cooling of the diff oil or whatever far-fetched reason, but because I've had two metal covers with rust holes in them already.

Next step is installing the axle and getting the car back on the road.
 
Any updates on the car?
Planning a conversion to m52tub28. Does the power steering pump work well together with 240 power steering rack?
What is the exact gearbox model and did it fit without modifications? I'm planning a S5D 320Z ZF gearbox.
