Hey folks, the police in Monterey County feel that I need a new windshield (and that I should probably watch my speed a bit more closely), so I thought I'd take the opportunity to upgrade my windshield to much nicer '91-93 Pilkingtons.
What do you think about doing the rear as well? Is it the same deal (just simple replacement by the glass shop guy), or do I need something in addition? The three main reasons I'm considering replacing the rear at the same time are:
1. Road noise - Do you think replacing the rears will have a noticeable impact on wind noise at freeway speeds?
2. Windshield defroster - My rear defroster doesn't work, but I haven't done any troubleshooting yet to figure out what it is, so a new element might not fix the issue. While we're on the subject, are there ways to repair the element that is in-fact the issue?
3. Looks - The newer fronts look so much better, do you think it'll be miss-matched and funny looking if I don't do both?
Please, give me your thoughts...especially if they're about the above topic.
