240 rear mudlfaps

Hello,

I bought mud flaps for the rear of my 1982 244 (MTC), I assumed I could just bolt them in!

Do they require a bracket?

Looking at my car there seems to be some sort of metal flap, but it has one hole (not two) and isn't the correct angle (guess it could be bent).

Whats the procedure to fits these?!

The mud flaps are attached to a metal brackets welded to the wheel well that should look like this. Are they still there?

Hmmm....I have some sort of bracket, but they are heavily bent, and do not have the two holes depicted, just one on the inside.

New brackets aren't expensive.
