No no... tapered.

I also just checked to see the fitment of the IPD bushing into the sleeve AND the super-pro bushing into the sleeve and they both fit just the same. So at least the ID is correct.

I suppose I'll report back this weekend on whether it all works or not.

That's good news, we got stymied and had to clean out and put the original shells back in the surfwagon for the IPD poly and tossed that gold junk.

At least it was a Cali central valley car and the metal was in great shape.

Edit:

Just measured some new Lemförders at 56.5mm and 57.5mm where they fit in the ears, so a 1mm taper.

Hope it works for you.

Whichever "quick"(read: destructive) way you want to use to remove the old ones will likely work as long as you don't bash the ears or axle tubes too much, if you don't end up pressing them out the normal way. Had a couple I've taken a cutoff wheel to, a few times the axle was off the car for whichever reason so I took a reciprocating saw to them then bashed the rest out with a chisel and hammer.

If I didn't go the BNE route the last few times I did this job, I'd have gone for the Lemforders/Lemförders.

For posterity sake. The IPD gold shells I have measure in spec with what RWC reported. 57.5 with a taper down on one end.

I'll use the TAB tool I have and pull the TABs off my parts car if you want them. Shipping will cost you more than my time removing them.

You can burn out the bushings, although I have had better luck with a hole saw and a wire wheel in the past. Less mess.

Still think that you will hate the poly, but at least you will have un-rusty OE TAB shells to work with.

PM me if interested.
