960 960AC compressor bypass

Is it possible to bypass the 960 Ac compressor by using a shorter serpentine belt? And if so, does anybody know what belt I'd need to buy? My compressor is pretty screwed, and doesn't seem to disengage. It's getting hot and smoking, I'm worried that it's gonna grenade sooner than later, I'll eventually replace it, but I need to go through the whole system, and I'm not doing that in January in Minnesota.

Yes. It should be 6PK 1250.

1255 is too short, so it's definitely not 1250.

1280 fits, could maybe get a slightly smaller one on, especially in warmer weather. 1275 would probably work.

1270mm is listed for manual with AC. 1250mm for automatic without AC.

1650 mm is NAPA listing with ac. If you could figure out how to measure with a piece of cord around the pulleys and the tensioner with it locked down and and released you'd get an idea of what you need. Just did a search for volvo 960 ac compressor bypass and found 51" (1295mm) length belt used. 52" (1320mm) being too long.
