cold air intake for 940 se

Heatshield on a shoestring.

Heres my effort.



V8 conefilter - free off a mate who had it lying around.
Heatshield - including cost of metal snips, 8' x 4' sheet of 20 gauge galv steel and riveter and rivets ?25
Reducer to intake hose(if required) - see above
remove the plastic board on the right hand side of the I/c to allow airflow into the area, no need to remove headlight.

cut, shape and rivet up the box shape(see below)





stuff it into the hole using some sponge ontop of the washer bottle to reduce rattles.

I had to cut an inch or so off the filter to turbo pipe to allow room for the length of the cone filter (NB only do this if you are CERTAIN you want to as one you've done it you cant refit the original airbox and those pipes ain't cheap!)
