1997 945T. Here's a weird one:
When driving on the highway at a speed between 135-140 kmh or higher (84-87 mph - normal speed on our highways), I get intermittent vibrations. What's really weird is that the vibrations are pulsating or let's say intervallic.
There's 2 seconds nothing, 1 second vibration, 2 seconds nothing and so on and on. It's really weird because you could look at a stopwatch and it's always the same interval. The vibrations get worse when going faster. When slowing down under 135-140, it goes completely away.
I really can't feel where the vibrations are coming from but I clearly feel it with my left foot resting in the footwell and faintly through the steering wheel. But it feels like the whole car is vibrating.
I got some used Aries wheels with tires on a few months ago, but didn't notice anything until now.
Should I get them rebalanced as a first try? But why would they only vibrate intervallic?
Driveshaft and bearing is in good condition (had a look at it recently). Could it be anything else?
Thanks!
