I asked because American specialty cars are usually verified by a certain digit/s in the VIN. I was curious if Volvo did it too, on the diplomat,ambulance,business cars & others

Most of the flatnose cars and cop cars have "SO" numbers. I would guess anything special got an SO number?

not everybody's been into volvos as long as we have, man, cut the kid some slack...

been into Volvos since around 1975. And not a kid either. at least age wise.:lol:

Just have not ever seen that "hand sign" nor one painted on a car.

I thought maybe it was a way of saying "Volvo" via hand signing.
