Default bulbsssssssss

hey quick question. i just got new headlights, and i would really like to change the bulbs to the blue ones..?? i think the are called HID's, but i also dnt want to get bulbs so hot that it will melt the plastic on my headlights... help??? ima n00b

They aren't HID's. They are just blue tinted halogen lamps. Maybe higher wattage.

HID's are expensive and superior.

+1 on expensive. When i was at the parts store some guy brought a new bulb for his BMW and it was something like $140 for one bulb

If the bulbs are for the red 240 in your sig, it's not really going to matter what kind of bulbs you get too much since the lights are starting to haze over. I agree the Osram Silverstars are the way to go for bulbs, even just regular US style Sylvania plain bulbs were better than the "Sylvania Silverstars" I tried in my 86 244DL. Any hint of blue in a light makes it worse for output in the nighttime because its close to black on the color spectrum.

There was a thread recently about polishing the hazey headlights back to semi-new condition without too much of a headache. Ultimately the best way to go would be glass e-code headlights with your choice of H4 bulb. FCP Groton sells a DJ Auto brand e-code headlight package that is sometimes on ebay or you can just call them and ask for it.

you got xenon bulbs just use them i promise they wont melt anything...
