I was getting sick of my old Greddy/Trust Knob, so i bought a new knob from Roger_Dee.
He did a really good job at machining it, and i really like it, but it didnt work well with my stick.

So i got my dad to machine me up a stick that will match the knob nicely, as well as fit the supra boxs' 12mm x1.25 thread on the shiftball.
I also shortened the stick by 30mm. Feels really good now, and i think it looks great too.

here are the pics:

Default New badge

I have been hunting for this badge for years and finally got one.
I love Genuine parts!!

32 year old badge:

New emblem installed. it adds a nice touch i reckon.

I know it doesnt look like much, but it makes a big difference.
To install i used 4 pieces of double sided tape.
then i sealed the gap around with Ultra black Sealant just to make sure no water would get behind it.

5 years old, and has around 100,000km on it. It was starting to slip when doing 2nd gear burnouts and clutch kicking when drifting, so it was time for an upgrade.
I was wondering what your clutch plate would look like after the abuse you give it!

All i can say is there is ALOT more material left on that plate compared to a similar one that came out of my car after ~8 months... Half of the plate had NO material there at all! Still not sure why actually... Ah well...

Good stuff tho Marc, keep it rolling!! Are u still at ClubMac or have u finished up there?

Thumbs down Diff #8 says goodbye

hey guys check out the damage that was done to the old diff.
all the side gears are pretty badly chewed up.

Also check out the main drive cones. look at all the wear on the sides. the one on the left doesnt even have its oiling groove anymore!!
The one on the right is very faint.

The new diff will be much more durable as it has a much higher quality set of cones and gears.

New diff is in and going very well. Feels so nice and tight to drive again. Very happy with the result.

Default Todays Progress

Today we decided to extend the screamer pipe cause it was pointing straight onto the brake lines which i didnt like, nor did the paintwork.
So we fabbed up a pipe and pointed it out behind the front wheel.
Sounds absolutely awesome, especially when the sound bounces off other cars. Much more smoother and louder than the shorter pipe i had earlier.

I also installed the Wideband meter in the car permanently which was fun.
Had a great day. Tomorrow will be installing knock meter and more tuning, maybe 30psi too.

Here are the pics:

Whats that behind the front wheel??

Upskirt shot, haha you're sick.

Looks sweet man, but I have no idea how you actually drive that thing... Tiny ass way too small tires for the car,(Bald, no less, then again, it can probably make a brand new set of tires bald in 5 seconds) and trying to push 30psi through a real turbo.

So that's the real sick part, not necessarily the upskirt part.

Default Oil Drain

There has been a bit of an ongoing drama with the oil drain on this turbo.
Every few months a slow leak would start and then soak the drain hose and its heat wrap in oil. causing the oil to burn on the manifold, and make it messy and smelly.

So now that the hilux is back on the raod i decided to fix this properly once and for all.

Here is the problematic oil drain made by GCG. It is a piece of crap with its 2 piece design, the O-ring between the 2 sections burns, shrinks and then leaks.

Here is the Billet drain my dad machined up from a single piece of steel. Much stronger, neater and allows for more space to access the bolts.

Also we are running a 5/8" hose now instead of 3/4", so here is the reducer we made up for the drain pipe.
This has allowed even more space, no contact with the manifold runners anymore. The old drain flange had a 5/8" ID anyway, so there was no point in running 3/4"

No i just gotta make a new alternator bracket, as the old one has snapped in Half!!
It didnt like the high rpm. Hopefully it will be finished tomorrow.

What are you using for the pilot bearing assembly? I have a supra box/Dellow conversion in the garage without this piece. I was going to machine a bushing/sleeve..

Do you know what it cost or have a part #? Does it come out of the crank beyond the stock point so the clip can't be used? It looks like it does in the photo.

Thanks

Thanks
The stock volvo bearing is still in position. The bush goes inside the stock bearing, as the toyota input shaft location lug is very thin compared to the volvo. So yeah the circlip is still there and visible in the pic.

Not sure on the part number though sorry mate.
