I used to drive a 94 960, awesome car, while away at college my mom IMs me that my sister got in a car accident, so i think to myself, "she probbably isn't hurt, i bet she's driving my car, great, i bet its totaled..." and sure enough the car was totaled, I'm not sure of the exact details, but she said she just barely hit the guy, but it takes alot to bend up a 960 like that...she was also driving on a temporary license...here's my old car:

Sorry about your car. I have the same car (except wagon) and it hurts to see that. But i'm sure you could part off a lot of stuff ... like that nice glass moonroof and wind deflector...
At least the car looks like it had a nice wash before the accident...
Thank your sister and mom for that

Tell your insurance company to take that "totalled" verdict and shove it up their ass. The bumper isn't even out of normal position, which means the frame rails aren't bent - which means the car IS NOT totalled. I'd be careful of a scam there, that doesn't look bad at all. New hood, fenders, headlights, grille, windshield, IC, and radiator and its good to go from the looks of it there. Based on those pics, I'd say your insurance company might be trying to scam you. Out of curiosity, how much are they offering you?

I was always happy when my insurance told me something was totalled. My last car sucked and was barely tapped in the front but they told me it was totalled and I couldn't have been happier, more money! I would hope your insurance company does total that car, then you don't have to mess with it and you can just buy something else. Sure it can be fixed, but that's a lot to mess with for a 960, airbags and everything, forget it.

Take your money and run dude.

this is coming from someone who said "New hood, fenders, headlights, grille, windshield, IC, and radiator and its good to go from the looks of it there."

as if an IC was needed in the US on a '94 960.

hey it's all in fun...

OK. I was kinda scared/excited. I was gonna get pretty excited if they produced a 960 with the T6 engine and it being rear wheel drive. That would be one hellofa car!

insurance can be nice. my mom got hit by a guy in a miata, they totalled her car (avalon) that we had just bought for 8000$ 3 weeks prior. They gave us $8700 for the car..and let us keep it!??! wtf. Anyway we sold the car to a local garage for $3000. So the moral of the story is we bought something for $8000, crashed it and gained $3700 out of it. Sorry to see a nice volvo to die like that, shave your sisters head.

that car is not totaled.
needs
front right fender
hood
grill
lights
front metal clip(lack of a better name)
radiator
windshield.

The other front fender looks like it made it through just fine.

My insurance company wanted to total my car after i got rear ended, but we said no.
3 grand later. (dealer ripped off insurance company)
the car is as good as new. even better cause i needed new linkage and motor mounts.

my sister said she split the plastic down the drivers side of the saturn, i think insurance paid us like $7-8k for the 960, it had 160k on it they claim thats a "high milage car". Insurence wouldn't let us keep it. I wish they would have, that car was verry nice, premium everything, the only option it diddnt have was heated seats...but oh well, I diddn't buy it, my Dad gave it to me to drive and do whatever to, so i drive it for about 3 years, and only got into one little acident...Adelphia is being retarted, i'll post a picture of the other car the damage my accident did, and my "new" car (86 240 dl, less powerful than the 960 but more fun to drive, the 5-speed is awesome)
