Default Capitol Raceway tomorrow night (sep. 7) for test and tune

Not an official event, very short notice but Mick, MrDoug and I will be at Capitol Raceway in Crofton, Maryland tomorrow night for their Friday night test and tune. No gamblers race bull**** on Fridays so we thought we would try it...

Come out and race or just watch if you got nothing better to do... $20 to race, $10 to watch, gates open at 4:30... bring whatever car you want, doesn't matter.

It should be fun, all are invited.

NOW, gots to get me an Air Mass Meter!! Maybe mechanic kittah has one.

Yeah it works like that, you only get paid for what you do, not how many hours you work... it has its ups and downs... it is great getting a $1500 paycheck and then sucks if you only pull $800 the next pay period, it works though.

Also just called up my buddy at the local independent Volvo shop... he's got two AMMs waiting for me to pick up at lunch time, 5 bucks a pop, can't beat that for the convenience of RIGHT NOW I NEED IT service

NIH IT support desk, actually. I can retire in 4 years but not comfortably so if I do that, I will have to get a job. I think the vspeed or swedespeed admin, Rich, is one guy who retired from some gov't white collar job and went to work at Don Beyer as a line tech. I wouldn't mind doing the same thing. Used to wrench for a living 30 hears ago.

it is only $20 to get into this place tomorrow so we thought we would try it, i must bring kit to rivet your shift knob in if you go, you will thank me later haha... do you have to work or something?

with your traps you should be able to get 15.2 or so

And he'll really thank you when the OD stops working and he can't get the knob off to reach the wires. Stupid overdrive...

Be happy with the 15.6 and work on finding another M46 or keep working on the other car. I wouldn't bother drag racing my daily driver with a 1-2 shift like that. Might want to try some fresh Type F, or MTL, or even Mobil 1. If you don't know when the fluid was last changed, it might help a little. Although if it's no better, I wouldn't be very surprised, so start with cheap Type F.

yeah its pretty bad:(
When greg came by to test drive it for travis (mesoam), i told him just like i told you.
He comes out of my driveway, floors it, shifts and pulls the knob right off... "damnit greg!"

it is not like you can't take the rivet out easily, my o/d works just fine, it does not interfere with the wires and if it is staying on there won't be any need to mess with the o/d switch wires again.
