Default vortech / centrifical supercharge B20?

anyone thought of it? tried it? etc?

i have a vortech supercharger that was for my honda, i can chop the shaft, weld on a gear, find/custom a crankpulley to match the pulley on the blower.. but then i cant find anywhere to mount the blower..

i can try to make it work, just wondering, if it's ever been done before..

not sure of the make of the box, but i think he uses a single minuki (sp?) side draft with it, and mounts the whole sh'bang on a modified early SU carb manifold (the old log design).

maybe someone else can pipe up and fill in the details/facts. i'ld try to DIY, if you can, as J Parker seems to have some insane backlog and fills his orders at random (you might be waiting for years).

I don't think he wants 'a' supercharger, I think he has a Honda Vortech centrigugal supercharger. Which is realyl just a honking big compressor half of a turbo, with a shaft drive instead of a turbine.

I'd guess the only place you'll have the room, with exhaust and intake manifold (use a D-Jet intake mani) is on the left side of the motor, where the compressor would be if it had A/C. Dunno how it will really work, I guess you need to watch which way the motor turns and which way the supercharger needs to turn, to see which way the supercharger needs to be mounted. Then run it up to an intercooler, over to the other side, and into the manifold. They look bulky, not sure how it will work. Good luck.

I think those are only good for Vtech because of the high and fast RPMs... Could be wrong though.
And the compressor blade in that picture/\ Looks like its made out of plastic, doesn't looks very well made

Apparently Im wrong, just went to the vortech site, they use them on trucks and mustangs, stuff like that too.

You could make it work. the easy part is fitting it up. I guess the harder part would be tuning everything for it. are you planning on going FI or Carbs?
