I'm picking up an 8.5" flywheel next week and want to use it in my 84 242ti. My car currently has the 9" stepped flywheel. I plan on lightening it up a bit as well. How can I take off and still have a decent idle? The car is mostly street driven but will see some auto-x next year. I still want to have a decent idle though. What would be a good weight to take the flywheel down to? Do I need to change anything to convert from a 9" to an 8.5? Last note what choices do I have in clutches besides MVP and Centerforce?
